Model Predictive Arm Current Control for Modular Multilevel Converter

چکیده

Arm current control is a promising candidate for modular multilevel converter (MMC) due to it can effectively regulate ac-side and the ac component of circulating currents simultaneously. The conventional arm controller designed in frequency domain based on classical theory have design separate each reference signal. As result, structure complicated. And limited by bandwidth compound controller, performance will be affected grid-side voltage harmonics. Model predictive (MPC) an optimal method time domain. It not only has fast dynamic response, but also track multi-band composite signals with high accuracy. To address above issues traditional control, this paper proposes model strategy. Combined phase-shifted carrier pulse width modulation (PSC-PWM), computation burden presented independent number cascaded sub-modules (SMs). Simulation experimental results reveal proposed MMC integrated strategy response small tracking errors even under non-ideal grid conditions.
